ēRYA by Suria Hot Spring Bentong is a Syariah-compliant resort on the old Kuala Lumpur to Bentong road, built around natural hot spring water. It has two large pools, one hot and one cool, plus a children's pool, and day visitors can pay to use them without staying the night.

The resort is roughly 69 km from KL, with a surau, restaurant and changing rooms on site, and day entry was RM15 for adults in July 2026. The free Bentong Public Hot Spring is just before the resort entrance.

The pools

The resort pipes water from the hot spring into two large pools: a hot one and a cool one. In 2018 the resort's operations manager gave the hot spring water as 43°C. The operator describes the water as sulphuric, with a rusty colour; no independent water analysis has been published. Children can use the cool-water pool, and there is a separate children's pool and a regular swimming pool with water features.

In 2018 the resort said it changed the hot spring water twice a week. We have not seen a more recent statement on this.

Day visits

The public day-use area opens daily, 9am–7pm. As of July 2026 entry is RM15 for adults, RM10 for children and RM8 for senior citizens, up from RM10, RM8 and RM6 in 2018. In 2018 hotel guests used the hot pools free of charge; check whether that still applies when you book.

On-site facilities listed by the resort include changing rooms (4 toilets, 3 shower rooms, 2 changing rooms), two prayer rooms, three car parks, a children's playground, the Bunga Padi restaurant (Hot Springs Guides lists the on-site restaurant as halal-certified), a lift, and accessible bathrooms with a wheelchair path. Three poolside food stalls run on weekends, school holidays and public holidays.

Staying the night

In 2018 the resort had 80 rooms: 39 deluxe triple, 20 deluxe quad, one disabled-friendly deluxe triple and 20 jacuzzi villas, priced between RM230 and RM620 then. Deluxe triple and quad rooms are 28 square metres, sleep three or four adults with breakfast included, and face either the pools or the garden. The 63-square-metre villas are on the ground floor with direct pool access and sleep two adults and two children. Trip.com currently lists rooms from about US$60 a night.

The jacuzzi villas may not be bookable. The official site says the Jacuzzi Villa is unavailable because of construction work, while a July 2026 SAYS round-up still mentions private jacuzzi-style baths. Confirm with the resort before booking for the private bath.

Renovation history

The hot spring area closed for renovation in 2021. A September 2024 visitor reported that the pools had reopened to the public after renovation and were very clean.

Recent visitor reports

Google reviews from September and October 2026 still praise the hot pool, but several flag upkeep problems. In October 2026 one guest found algae on the walls of the regular and children's pools, turning the water green, and two company groups who stayed that month complained of flies around the food, stained bedding and dusty floors. A September 2026 guest reported no mobile phone signal at the resort and unstable Wi-Fi, and an October 2026 guest found no shops or food delivery within about 7 km.

Getting there

The resort is at Lot 2527, Jalan Kuala Lumpur Lama, 28700 Bentong, about 69 km and an hour's drive from Kuala Lumpur. The resort's own directions: take the Karak Highway, exit at Janda Baik, pass the first tunnel, turn left at the junction and follow signs to Jalan Bentong Lama. You pass a quarry on the right, then the public hot pool on the left, then the resort entrance.

There are three car parks on site. There is no practical public transport; a car or e-hailing ride from KL or Bentong town is the way in.
